Ira Reiner joined the firm in 1994 and brought to the firm extensive experience from his elected positions as Los Angeles County District Attorney (1984-1992), Los Angeles City Attorney (1981-1984) and Los Angeles City Controller (1977-1981). While serving as Los Angeles County District Attorney, Mr. Reiner held the distinct privilege of directing the largest local prosecutorial office in the world, supervising over 1,000 attorneys. As City Attorney, Mr. Reiner was the corporate counsel for the City and as City Controller, the City's Chief Fiscal Officer.

Prior to his twenty years in public service, Mr. Reiner spent ten years in private practice as a trial attorney. Mr. Reiner has frequently appeared on television as a legal affairs consultant. Mr. Reiner currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish Foundation, Los Angeles Chapter.

Mr. Reiner received his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1964. Mr. Reiner received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Southern California in 1959.
